Freedom Pointe

MMA was proud to lead the design vision for Freedom Pointe, a transformational 1,200-acre redevelopment plan for Fort Monmouth.  Envisioned as a true live, work, and play destination, Freedom Pointe was designed to seamlessly blend vibrant community life with modern convenience.  The plan featured more than 500,000 square feet of upscale retail shopping, full-service destination restaurants, entertainment venues, class-A corporate offices, and a luxury hotel — all anchored by pedestrian-friendly walkways, striking storefront architecture, and premier amenities including ice skating rinks, grand fountains, and public art displays.  Together, these elements defined the heart of the center, creating an environment that encouraged gathering, exploration, and connection.

Freedom Pointe’s residential component included a mix of new homes and townhomes, thoughtfully planned with direct access and connectivity to the retail core.  Designed to accommodate a wide range of lifestyles, these residences were set against a backdrop of preserved green spaces, featuring concert lawns, jogging trails, and community event areas — offering residents a perfect balance of urban energy and natural retreat.
