5th Avenue Pavilion Reconstruction
Client: Madison Marquette
Location: Asbury Park, NJ
The Fifth Avenue Pavilion is the reconstruction of a 2-story mixed-use circa 1960s building along the Boardwalk in Asbury Park, NJ. The pavilion includes retail and food service tenant spaces as well as the recreation and restoration of the exterior façade to evoke some of its past glory.
The Fifth Avenue Pavilion Project is the reconstruction of the existing 29,476 square foot two-story building which includes 17,450 square feet of newly reconstructed retail and food service tenant spaces on the ground floor; a 5,447 square foot rooftop Bandshell area consisting of an outside stage, dance floor and grandstand; and a 6,670 square foot third floor addition for a food service tenant with full height exterior glass curtain walls for panoramic views, and a folding glass paneled wall opening out to the Bandshell area. The design provides new materials and color palette to the building’s façade to create a fresh new modern appearance while reintroducing past architectural elements such as the rooftop bandshell stage, grandstand, and elevated exterior walkways.
