Target – Bensonhurst

Situated on the ground floor of the two-story building (there are offices on the second floor), the new store is slated to open this October. There is also at least a couple hundred square feet of storage space in the basement. A 20,400-square-foot space in Bensonhurst for a store with a flexible layout and smaller packaging. Bensonhurst Target marks the chain’s second flexible-format location in Brooklyn.

Target is looking to expand with this format, “We look forward to serving even more guests in Brooklyn with the addition of Target’s Bensonhurst store that will open this fall,” Mark Schindele, senior vice president of properties for Target, said in a prepared statement. “We think the community will enjoy the convenient shopping experience with a broad, unique product assortment that only Target can provide.”

THOMAS P. MCHUGH

During his tenure at the New Jersey Institute of Technology and after earning his Bachelor of Architecture, Tom has spent close to Thirty Years in planning, design, construction and contract administration for a wide range of large and small-scale projects. He joined the company in early 1997 and as one of MMA’s Principals, he has been responsible for overseeing the growth and success of the educational design studio for the last two decades. His responsibilities include contract generation, establishing budgets for hard and soft costs, design consultant coordination, and overseeing construction administration and project close-out. Tom attributes his success to his attention to detail, and his ability to work effectively with all stakeholders.
