On January 18th, 2022, Walmart broke ground on a new era of healthcare with the grand opening of Walmart Health in Store 001—a monumental leap forward in innovation.

This groundbreaking facility epitomizes the pinnacle of Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) via DfMA, a testament to a new age of healthcare construction. Forget traditional builds; this project was a symphony of efficiency, crafted in a dust-free environment, assembled within a mere 10 weeks. Imagine a factory within, where infrastructure from Colorado and walls from Wisconsin converged to create a marvel.

This clinic, a sleeker iteration, has shed an additional 500 square feet without compromising a single service offered to Walmart patients. A testament to efficiency without sacrifice.

But here's where the magic truly unfolds—modular steel walls, vacuum plumbing system, MMA's magnetic marvels, and prefabricated imaging shielding walls were orchestrated in a dance of innovation. This wasn't just construction; it was a revelation of possibilities, a leap into a future where quality, life cycle costs, and methods are meticulously controlled and measured.

Nestled around the corner from corporate headquarters, this lightning-fast assembly stands as the crown jewel of the Health & Wellness fleet. It's not just a clinic; it's a canvas that sets the stage, not just for future infrastructure but for Evidence-Based Designed Principles—a beacon illuminating the path toward healthcare's future.

This facility isn't just a milestone; it's a manifesto—a testament to Walmart's commitment to cutting-edge design, lean principles, and sustainability. Where once there were eight dumpsters, now only two—the epitome of a manufacturing lean process applied to healthcare construction. It's not just a clinic; it's a testament to a future where healthcare isn't just reimagined; it's reinvented.
